Cotton thread, wood, old pictures
Size: 280 x 120cm
“My mom is the eldest child from a family of 6 children. Her stories from the past brought back memories of war, of protecting her sisters and brothers from the bombings, of all the tears when she placed them on boats to the unknown sea and bid farewell. Her selling stories wove the fabric for my whole childhood. I used white cotton threads to reflect the image of a waterfall, embracing the old photos of her and her siblings, as a fountainhead of love and sacrifice virtue of a woman”.
